The order
2-4 weeks. Every window is built made-to-measure for its opening, not pulled from a shelf and trimmed to fit.

Install day
Drop cloths down, one window at a time, each opening exposed for about 15-30 minutes. Old unit out, new unit set, shimmed level, insulated, sealed, and capped outside. We haul off the old windows, vacuum every room, and you're back to normal by dinner.

October through December is window season here
Cold weather slows our other work, so from October through December, windows and doors get the crew's full attention. Measure and order takes 2-4 weeks, which means September and October calls get first pick of install dates. By November, the calendar does the picking.
Winter installs are normal in Indiana. One opening at a time, exposed for about 15-30 minutes, with the room isolated, cold-rated sealants, low-expansion foams, and materials acclimated before they go in. Nothing sits open overnight. On sub-zero days we may push a day or two; that's quality control.
There's an upside to the timing. Drafts are easiest to find in January, and you feel the difference the same day. Whether your bill comes from Duke Energy, Tipmont, or CenterPoint, winter is when it hurts.

We fit the window to your house and budget: Polaris, Pella, or the same lines the big-box stores carry. We don't have a quota for one brand. Polaris is made in Youngstown, Ohio, about 4 hours from Lafayette, and sold through contractors, not store shelves.
